The primary purpose of a super curl bar is to allow a natural hand position and decrease strain on wrist and forearm tendons while curling, tricep extensions etc. Personally I have tendinitis and have always had issues with pain while doing barbell curls and find that the more supinated my grip palms facing me the more pain I get in my forearm, and likewise less supinated the less pain I get. Most curl bars seem to have a fairly light angle to them that is perhaps 15-20 degrees of angle off inline which for persons who want something just better and more natural than a barbell those are great.
