Great for short peopleI got this as a gift for a very short person and she love its. Other non-recumbent bikes were a problem for her - - she could not easily get on the bikes with the x portion being too high to step over, and once on the bike, couldn t reach the pedals with the seat set to it s lowest position. This recumbent is made for short people - - the seat is at the closest setting, and it s just right. Also, there s no obstructions to step over to be able to sit down. As far as assembly - not bad. One thing I liked with assembly is that all the screws and washers were set in the place where you would place them - - - no bags of multiple size screws to try to guess which is which when putting the pieces together. The only word of caution is when you feed the tension cable up the column - there s a small plastic piece holding the cable at a height that will fall out as the cable is pushed up the column. I suggest you tape the little plastic piece to the assembly so it does not pop out. If it does pop out, you can still assemble the cable to the knob, but it takes a little more strength to do it.
