So, you have sore heels and pain in your arches I discovered these shoes when the v6 first launched. I had just had surgery for a ruptured Achilles. I am what shoe companies call, Impossible to please . I am a big guy, about 6 2 250 currently, weight goes from 235-275. That s a lot of weight on a foot leg that has seen 3 broken legs, 4 broken ankles and a ruptured Achilles, all on my right leg. I do still love the 990 New Balances, but these 1080 s have become my go to, so much that I have four pairs of the v6 and this is my second pair of the v7. What does the shoe do First, my foot composition. I have naturally-wide feet, meaning it s not from a health issue or from being overweight. I have an athletic past of nearly 30 years. My toe-box is the widest part of my foot by far. It results in extreme coordination and balance, but 3 broken legs, 4 broken ankles and a ruptured Achilles say all that coordination does is give me a false sense of security.
