I paid full price for this item, therefore my review is based on my experience using the item as an ACTUAL PAYING CUSTOMER. This item is one of those things that I did not know existed, but saw the value in what it could do the moment I saw it. I was very hesitant to purchase this because of the price, but finally gave in Well, first off, like another reviewer said, the item is heavy. The handle is solid two-inch bar. It is not hollow It does indeed weigh about 25 pounds. When I buy things for my home gym, I like to buy equipment that will last my entire life. After handling and using this item for a couple of days, I am fully convinced it could survive a nuclear blast, and will be around one hundred years from now.
